Northern Classics 24-Inch Small Tree Bench and Back Review

Cedar wood was very nice, BUT one of the wood slats was drilled incorrectly.I redrilled it myself.Had trouble fitting all parts of the seat together.Also I replaced the hardware for the BACK with stronger brackets.In all I would have to give this 6 out of 10, for the extra work, time and money I had to put in.

SEI Black Arch Top Wall Mount Gel Fuel Fireplace Review

I am glad I got this fireplace, our county had an ice storm, and our power was knocked out. Using this fireplace, and shutting my bedroom doors, I was able to keep the main living area at a steady 66 degrees, while the outside temp was 35. I used 6 cans of gel before our power came back on, about 6 hours later. I do not have a large house, not sure about using this fireplace to heat a larger space.

I may buy another type of gel fireplace for my bedroom

I will say that the mounting screws and wall plugs that came with the fireplace tend to pull out of the wall, I bought some different ones, after having to fix the wall.

Coleman Compact Table Review

Despite what the other reviewer has said, this table is great. I delpoyed to Iraq with this table folded up nicely in my duffle bag with no problems. The table is lightweight, and stirdy as long as you set it up correctly. I use it for my laptop indoors, but outdoors it works great as well (provided a hurricane isn't trying to blow it around) Overall, it's a great table that's compact and easy to set up and break down. My only complaint is that the plastic tabletop slats are thin plastic and if you have any heavy items sitting in the middle of the table it will bow a little unless you place the items directly on top of the support beams. I'd buy another if I had the need for one, and everyone in Iraq has complimented me on it because they're stuck trying to find ironing boards or water boxes to set their laptops on.

I love this product! Assembly was only about 10 minutes with a second helper and it is relatively easy if you follow the directions. Rollers roll smoothly and the frame is very sturdy. Rust Prevention: Fluid Film Spray 11.75 oz. Review

I first bought Fluid Film on the recommendation of a tractor dealer. I actually do use it on my tractor and tractor equipment, but also use it on every piece of outdoor equipment I own that requires either a light lubricant and/or rust protection.

The key to its rust preventive qualities is that it is non-drying and will not wash away in the rain or snow. The eye-opener for me was when I used it on my tractor's box-blade and rear finish mower. They sit outside year-round, rain or shine, through snow and ice. I spray down all fittings, pins, and bolts after every use. Spray something down, and as long as it was clean to start, it will not rust. (I.e., if a fitting is coated with muck or wet grass, don't expect spraying over the mess to perform miracles.)

I've since extended my use of Fluid Film to all of my outdoor equipment, including hand tools like loppers, pruners, etc. I do restrict the use to outdoor equipment because, once again, this product does not dry or evaporate, it's greasy (lanolin-based) and you don't want that indoors. The only indoor exception I make is on door hinges, though I'm very careful to protect against overspray and wipe up any excess.

Walker Edison Twin over Twin Bunk Bed Review

This bunk bed is nice and sturdy.We wanted a slim metal bunk bed for our two sons, ages 5 and 8.5, and this fit the bill.We received it fairly quickly.

The pieces are neatly marked and assembly wasn't too difficult.Assembly took approximately two hours, if we don't count the hour we had to spend fixing where we messed up.The instructions do no indicate that the side where you will be attaching the ladder needs to be facing a certain direction or it won't work.

This wouldn't have been a huge issue if it weren't for the fact that you have to assemble the slats into the bottom of each bed.Each bed has 22 slats.Each of those slats has 2 ends, and in each of those end you have to pop a plastic piece to wedge it into place securely... which means popping in a total of 88 pieces that don't want to fit in.I recommend having a flat-ended metal rod to push them in, because you will hurt your fingers to do it manually.

So when we messed up, we had to remove the plastic pieces from that side, flip the piece, line the slats back up, and replace the plastic pieces, some of which broke during removal.

Overall, the bed is great and the boys are pleased with their new furniture.Just don't make the mistake we made, because it definitely made it much harder and more frustrating to assemble.

Indoor Fabric Seat Cushions Review

I ordered these because they were the ONLY such chair cushions I could find in this color, after much searching.They were very expensive so I hoped that the quality would be supreme.However, they aren't very comfortable, the fabric is stiff, and they aren't worth the money.I saw chair cushions at Target that were better than these at 1/4 the cost.Too bad they didn't have the right color!!!

Get Organized Rolling Leaf Bag Holder Review

Washers and Nuts used at base of holder were of the wrong size. Directions left much to be desired. Product struts will bend easy if you are not careful. Once you go to a hardware store and get the proper sized washers and nuts it does pretty good and the wide mouth for emptying a lawn mower grass bag is a blessing. Soloorporated Portable Spreader - 421S Review

After one hopperful of pelletized lime the flow lever became hopelessly stuck wide opened . This rendered the spreader useless because if the flow gate is not closed at the time of filling the hopper the fertilizer flows forcefully into the discharge area jamming the spreader crank.

I washed the unit out with a water hose to free up the flow lever and let it dry.Then I tried spreading 0/0/50 (sulfate of potash) , 0/45/0 (triple super phosphate) , 16/4/8 and after sucesffuly spreading700 ponds of the above again tried pellitized lime. This time the flow gate did not stick . I think it is becauce the 16/4/8 lubricated the flow gate . also i developed the habit of keeping my hand on the flow lever while cranking and working it frequently during use finally I recommend selecting bags of pellitized lime that are in perfect condition ( no lumps or wet stains)

Vari-crafts Recycled Suet Feeder Green - RVCS-2 Review

I bought two of these to add to the bird feeding station in my yard.They are well constructed and very attractive and I like that they are made in the USA from recycled materials.Unfortunately, they don't seem to be practical or useful for their intended purpose.Bigger birds (like woodpeckers) definitely can't get a perch on them and even the little chickadees & nuthatches seem to be struggling to feed from them.I will probably go back to feeding suet from the cheap little green cages you can purchase in any department store and these Vari-Craft feeders will be a just an expensive decoration.

Edited 5/31/10:After having the feeders in the yard for a couple of months, I have to revise my initial opinion.The birds have adapted and can use them with no problem - even the bigger birds.Unfortunately, very noisy and obnoxious grackles & starlings have now taken over the feeders and have chased away the charming Chickadees and Nuthatches that I enjoy watching. I continue to fill the feeders only because a lone woodpecker visits from time to time and I'm hoping he or she will bring some friends!

This came mostly assembled, with only the runners to attach.

Be aware that on the unfinished version, some finishing sanding will be required and that there are multiple kinds of wood used throughout the chair.Both qualities make it a little more difficult to finish than I anticipated.

The only other unexpected quality: The chair sits a little low.I'm short, so it didn't bother me, but this would not be comfortable for the taller folks among us.

This was a great purchase. It covers a large area.I bought several different bamboo rugs to cover new hard wood floors from dog paws.This way we still have hard wood floors but they withstand the jumping and running from dogs.There are built in anti slip mats under the rug.The rug does sometimes manage to get its end tucked under, but I think that is due to active dog play.The picture is accurate, the color is a nice rich chocolate with a few texture points.

Because the flowers themselves were so pretty, I bought three different strands of similar Christmas-type mini-lights in the hopes that I could replace the bulbs with the bulbs from the new strands.However, none of them fit the lotus strands and I am left with $100.00 worth of useless string lights that didn't last even a whole summer.

It was easy to put together but the locking cams were made of such cheap material that one even broke during assembly. Additionally, the black coloring practically rubs off.
