4' Cedar Porch Glider W/stained Finish, Amish Crafted Review

I put this glider together, by myself, during a snow storm.I plan to keep it on my porch, so I decided to have faith that spring was indeed coming.

The parts went together easily, even putting it together alone.The only complaint is that the screws required a square-ended tool and I only had screwdrivers and hex keys.I managed, though.

It is very comfortable and I look forward to using it often when the weather warms.

11 Foot Market Umbrella, Olive, Brick, Floral Review

After using the umbrella for 3 months (July-Sept.), I am disappointed that the chord of the umbrella is bunching up making it difficult to open all of the way. It appears that the covering on the chord has separated from the nylon inside. I will probably have to replace the chord for next season. Otherwise, the umbrella is everything expected, except for delivery. Fedex lost the first one and never realized it was not delivered. After a number of phone calls to Fedex, I called Amazon and they sent out a replacement immediately.

I purchased this table because it folds flat in an instant and it has an umbrella hole, which I need. I'll be carrying this to the pool so that I don't have to search for a hard to find table, plus I get my shade with my added umbrella. This is solid, light, and surprisingly good-sized when popped up. It's light enough for my pre-schoolers to carry, plus the carrying handle is built in. The literature I've seen states that it will hold 40 pounds (much more weight than I'd ever need to put on it).

9ft aluminum market umbrella in Taupe Review

I bought the unbrella and stand. Umbrella doesn't sit straight in stand and even though it has a nice look, the materials are below average. The fabric already broke and the cords to pull up don't work very good with the system. I have to fix it all the time using a ladder, which is not the idea I had about relaxing under the shade of the umbrella.

Carrand Outdoor 97360 2-Pack detailing Brushes Review

These are two exceptionally well made brushes. One has nylon bristles the other is brass. The bristles are fairly stiff, with just enough flex to clean properly. The nylon brush is great for outdoor furniture, railings or screen doors whether they are plastic, wood or aluminum. Because of it's shape it can get into all those hard to reach aria's that most brushes can't reach. I use the brass brush for cleaning spots off my cement deck outside and the grout between the ornamental tiles around the edge of the pool.It works well for stained grout around bathroom tiles also.

Both of these brushes have worked well for me, and I have used them on many different type cleaning jobs. How can you go wrong for this price.

I also have the Carrand Outdoor 97300 20" Multi-Purpose Scrub Brush which is a fantastic brush also. Please check out my review in it. Thanx.

It was with a great deal of trepidation I bought this, as I normally read reviews to see what is the favoured item.As there were no reviews, at the time, I was nervous.

But I went ahead and bought it anyway, and I'm glad I did.

It was delivered on time, the delivery man helped to take it up a few stairs to my deck and then helped me to open it up to double check it was allright.

I'm very pleased with it's quality.The teak was a little on the orange side when it got here, but that came off easily with a bit of soap and water.The wood is smooth and soft, it's really quite nice!

The chairs are comfortable, I was thinking I would need to get cushions but we the chairs without as they aren't bad at all.

I like the table legs being on the outside so there's no knocking the chairs into any wooden frames under the table.The only thing with having all 8 chairs with arms is that the chairs don't fit under the table when you are sitting.And then to store the chairs at the table they take up more room.But it's not so bad, you can still eat comfortably.

All-in-all I really like the set, was an excellent addition to the deck.Much, much cheaper than other places, we have been looking for over a year!

The velcro was VERY easy to attach ( took about 5 minutes) so the net went on easy. It was great at night because I could just crank down the umbrella and it draped over the patio furniture easily.It also kept the dew off the set so it wasn't wet in the morning. When it got really windy I just cranked it down and it was fine.I recommend you get a good base and not the water filled plastic ones because the umbrella is pretty heavy.I am very pleased with this so I'm wrtiting my very first review.

2x4basics AnySize Outdoor Dining Table Legs (Top not included), Sand Review

I bought this because we want to wait before buying a proper outdoor furniture set that can cost up to $800 for the kind of furniture that we like.

The plastic construction of the product is very strong and looks very durable.

The instructions are straight forward. 10 pieces required, 2 for the main support and 8 for the top. I used 6 pieces of Trex instead of 2x4s for the top.

(See pictures of the light sandy colored topped trex table.)

It was a bit tricky to access all the screw heads to get them in so that all went in at a slight angle. Also there is a very slight wobble left to right, but nothing bad at all and it is very sturdy if you're eating on it. There is no wobble forward to back. Leveling is perfect. There are a few alignment problems but that this cost, who cares. You can't even really notice them.
This thing is heavy. I'm in a windy area and I know that this wont blow over.

Total cost is around $90 with the Trex and short 2x4s for support.
Trex costs around $16 per 8ft piece. I used 3 of these.For $90, I doubt I will find anything as big, strong and durable as this. When we eventually get our furniture, This table will sit at another part of the deck.

Update: 05/20/2010
It's been nearly a year and the table is still solid and stable - exactly how it was when I built it. We've now bought our final furniture and placed this table at the corner of the deck. It has served us well and it now great to support things like a radio or grilling accessories. The plastic construction is very durable. Couldn't be happier.

Really nice weight.Love the hugging straps at the bottom.Stays on in the windiest conditions.Covers the entire chair.Water rolls off/beads off.
Our previous chair covers were light weight and had a pouch that attached to the back of the chair, so that cover could be stuffed into when not in use. Super handy, but the light weight covers were constantly flying off. Did not want to deal with having to fold these new ones up and figure out where to store when we were using the chairs...BUT we discovered that we could put large hooks on our backyard fence and hand the covers nearby, making it very convenient when taking off or putting back on. Color also blends in well with the outdoors...don't even notice chairs.

We bought two of these deck chairs and they look fantastic on the lanai. I feel like I'm on the deck of the Titanic when I lounge in mine. (get a cushion for it, and you'll be more comfortable)
I use Danish teak oil to preserve the wood. Every so often, I apply it with a rag, rub it in and let the wood soak it up. Not really much bother and keeps it looking good.

I must admit I have not used this to wash my BBQ grill. I decided to use old rags to wash my grill, instead of messing up the mitt cover with all that greasy dirt. What I do use it for is polishing. I have all stainless kitchen appliances, and this mitt works great at taking the fingerprints off and polishing the doors. Yes I do use it to polish my grill also, but only after it's clean. The handle fit's my hand perfectly. Since it is hard plastic and flat under the cover, one swipe clean's a large aria evenly. A nice well made product.

Filling is not as solid or as thick as I would like. Too filmsy.
Stripes on sides do not match the other cushion (one is tan, other is dark).Most people would not notice but I do.

Strathwood Camano Sofa Cushion Review

So far, these cushions are holding up pretty well. It was pretty ridiculous that the original cushions were not made for the outdoors. These are good quality and have so far made it through a few big thunderstorm w/o stains or damage. I will definitely cover them through the winter months. Make sure you do not put them in the washing machine. I made that mistake w/the original ones and they shrank A LOT even w/o drying.

I would give this 100 stars. It is the best product I have ever bought and the price was unbelievable. I am 59 years old, and female. I put the system up in about half an hour, turned it on and within fifteen minutes the temperature on my patio dropped at least 10 degrees!! It was during the hottest part of our summer and I would have done and paid anything to be able to survive the heat. I was really concerned about my Mother's health in the heat. Not only were we able to go out on the patio during the day but my living room windows were open and it cooled my living room where it was more than just bareable! I have bought their umberellas with the cooling system built in for around the chairs under the gazebo for next year. We love our backyard and these systems make if possible for us to go out in the Summer. We cannot say enough good about the system, the cost or the durability of the product. Also I contacted the company with my gratitude for their product and met some very nice people who were also very happy that we enjoyed their product. My sincere thanks for this product.

I've had this chair (in Hunter Green) for over two years and it is the best I've ever had.The chair itself is very sturdy, heavy plastic and the seat is generously sized.The chair was also very easy to assemble, but not flimsy or fragile the way many do-it-yourselfers often are.It is easily the most comfortable rocking chair I've ever owned, wooden ones included.
Get this one and you won't be sorry.
The only negative thing I can say is that Amazon.com doesn't offer the chair in green.

Merry Garden Glider Bench Review

After researching a bunch of glider benches, I decided to purchase this one because of the look and the low price!
Pros- It is very pretty! The wood comes finished and stained which makes it look great; however, I will add a water sealant just to make sure it doesn't warp down the road.
I had to assemble everything, but they give you all the tools you need-except a phillips screwdriver.
Cons- Delivery took 2 WEEKS to get here!
Assembly took longer than usual. The diagram pictures of the kinda small but there was one MAJOR PROBLEM= The bolts for the glider do not screw in all the way- There is a very small amount sticking out, but it is just enough to cause the glider not to glide smooth because it hits the screws. This also causes it to scratch the wood in some parts.

Overall, for the price, it works decent. In the future I will probably invest in a wood glider, but make sure the glider parts are metal.

About a year ago we purchased our first Strathwood three seater bench, and we've just purchased a second. For our first bench, we bought two of these pillows in Pearwood as well as the cushion for the bench, also in Pearwood.The 20 inch accent cushions in Pearwood are a lovely green color, same as pictured in the photo, and while they seem tough enough for outdoor use, we only leave them outside on weekends when we use them the most. These pillows have held up very well over the past year, but we do bring them inside during the week and we do not leave them out in the rain. Recommended!

The cushion I used for an hour felt like it was already losing depth strength after an hour and I only weigh 120 lbs.

Bistro Table Chair Set Cover Review

I bought this cover about two months ago. Since then, we have had a lot of rain and temps in the single-digits. Cover has held up well, no cracking and no leaks on the seams. The fit was a little larger than I expected, but that's OK. Very happy with the quality. Would buy again.
