Very strong, easy to assemble and disassemble.The coating is excellent except where welded.Rust has shown through within a month, however, we live within 2 blocks of the ocean.We also purchased the attaching table with cup holders which we enjoy. SEI Monticello Faux Slate Media Stand. Review

I purchased Samsung LN52B630 52-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color and needed a stand for it as I am replacing a 52" projection television.I selected this one as it seemed to go with the livingroom set I purchased at Robinson's-May before it was bought out by Macy's.I am very delighted I selected this one.It is much higher quality than I was expecting!It arrived Fed-ex next day in a box with all the pieces and parts in brand new condition; it looked like the box had not been opened before.The instructions were easy to follow and made sense; my only tip is that I needed to attach the top before screwing the back into place in order to get a tight fit! Each part is attached to the other parts with two wooden pegs and two screws minimum. The top has a very nice bevel which I wasn't expecting.The slate isn't as nice as I was expecting.If you are looking to be wow-ed by the slate, you might want to look elsewhere.You might want to double-check that your components will fit into the dimensions listed for this stand.I am pleased with the slate though as it is rather unassuming and hopefully won't distract from my 52" Samsung LCD TV which I hope arrives soon!

These are very sturdy, very roomy chairs. I replaced the typical folding camping chairs in a bag with these. We use them for tailgating, soccer games, and campfires. The seat area is wider, so there is not that "pinching" feeling on your thighs that most folding chairs give you. The folding side table is much better than just a cup holder that you get with most chairs. The side storage pockets are good for a cell phone, keys, books or newspapers. They are lightweight to carry, but could use a sholder strap or sling.

4' Western Red Cedar Wood Outdoor Patio Backless Bench Review

We recently bought two. The instructions were ridiculous, not having any images or useful guides. Worse, however, was the entire organization. The bench comes with almost 100 screws that have to be put in to assemble it properly. There is not a single pre-drilled hole in the bench at all! None. If you are not prepared to drill your own holes, and if you don't own a power screwdriver (I had to go to Home Depot in a hurry to get one), dont buy this bench at all. All the money you save is more than compensated by spending 2-3 hours to assemble each bench.

Walker Edison 41-inch DVD Tower Review

Normally when Amazon asks me to review a product I recently bought, I decline.Honestly, who wants to read a review about that $12 wall calendar I just bought?Or my review # 1827 of some blockbuster DVD?But this is one item I wanted to review.

There ARE cheaper DVD towers out there.And there's a reason they're cheaper.You get what you pay for, and that is definitely true here.

This is a GREAT DVD cabinet. In my opinion, you'd be hard pressed to find anything of higher quality, short of buying a super-expensive model made of genuine hard wood.Yes, this is particle board, but this isn't your typical particle board furniture. The pieces are nice and sturdy (no flimsy 1/4" crap shelves here!), and it all fits together extremely well.I even accidentally knocked it over right as I was about to put the doors on. It's 3.5 feet tall but only 8 inches wide; for it to tip over, that's a long way down to fall! Didn't hurt it one bit (though I don't recommend you testing it similarly).

And speaking of tipping it over, it also includes an attachable wall strap to prevent it from tipping over once fully loaded!

The frosted glass doors combined with the black wood-grain finish is very stylish, and they EVEN include black wood-grain stickers to hide the assembly hardware on the inside. Talk about attention to detail!

I always worry about DIY furniture being damaged in the box during shipment (whether to me or to the local retail store), however this was extremely well packed in the box so it'd take a major shipping accident to cause any harm even to the glass inside. You know they care about quality when they include pieces of particle board AS packing material.

All in all, I am VERY happy with this DVD case.If you're looking for something that is elegant, small (approx 100 DVDs), and most importantly NOT a flimsy, wobbly piece of junk, this is definitely the one to get.

Hall Tree With Rattan Storage Baskets - Black Review

The coat rack is easy to assemble. My main concerns were balance and stability, and this coat rack meets those concerns successfully. I haven't had any problems with heavy coats, and have found that I haven't even had to "balance the load" to maintain stability. When assembling the unit, I was surprised to find that it had no lateral support. It simply unfolds; there is nothing that sets the angle, other than allowing the baskets to fit. This has turned out not to be a problem. I am happy with my purchase, and I think it was a good value.

I recently purchased this for a summer house, it arrived damaged (scratched) as the cardboard box was cheap, made of thin cardboard and basically was falling apart upon delivery. It also arrived with bolts missing. In putting it together the bolts are so cheap that if you attempt to tighten them, the threads strip. Despite tightening it as best as possible, the bench is rickety and probably won't last the season. I emailed Amazon when it arrived scratched and damaged and missing some bolts, they gave me a partial credit. I then emailed again when it was assembled and requested a full credit which they have given -- and that they should send someone to pick it up. Needless to say, I would recommend NOT buying this piece of junk and likewise suggested that Amazon no longer offer it for sale. I do appreciate Amazon's efforts and promptly providing a full credit.

Barbeque Grill - Black Dog 28 Review

It is now May 28, 2010. I Purchased this grill (2) years ago.... I figure it only gets about (3) months or so a year of use before being packed away for the season, so the grill has seen approx 6 months of use over my 2 years of ownership. When I went to use it for my 3rd season the unit was totally unusable. RUSTED TOTALLY THROUGH!!!.

I contacted the manufacturer, LANDMANN USA, sent them photos detailing the damage, advising them the unit was always kept covered as well including pictures of the cover on the unit showing how it actually molded itself to the unit from being covered so much. Rather than trying to resolve this situation,they put me through numerous voice mails, promised to return calls and never did and finally accused me of keeping the unit exposed to the elements, not maintaining the grill and it rusting away was all my fault. They actually accused me and are trying to pass off their choice to use poor quality materials in making this grill as if it were my fault the unit rusted away.

Contact Me, I will be happy to provide you copies of our back & forth correspondence if there's any doubt.

The grill is a piece of _______! They claim to use "Heavy Duty Steel", at who's standards?... yea if you compare the wall thickness to aluminum foil. My unit actually has rust holes in the Ash Tray & Side Walls.

I feel I'm fair, I give honest reviews. I've given this manufacturer every opportunity to resolve this issue and restore my confidence in their company and they flat out would rather accuse me of not caring for my belongings while I can prove otherwise.

At this point I have contacted the Georgia State Department Of Consumer Affairs and have registered a complaint against Landmann USA.

Unless they make a better effort to show how good of a company they are and stand behind their products, I would not recommend this grill.

It's up to them.

Lafuma Model 46970 RSX XL LaGrande Mesh Recliner, Black (Black Frame) Review

This reclines is as advertised. It is comfortable and great to use.

UNTIL a pivot bolt self locking nut backs off and the sholder bolt seperates allowing the chair to come apart causing the frame to bend when you wind up on the floor. This is the bolt that you raise and lower yourself from reclined to sitting positions.

BTW this happenerd today 7/25 and the chair was ordered on 5/31

The threaded part of the bolt is not lonf enough for the self locking nut to do its job.

Today is Sept. 4th 2005 an update on my Lafuma experience.

Called two days ago to the Lafuma people asking where my repair parts are, boy did they play dumb. Said I never called about broken chair parts.

DO NOT buy this chair based on thier lousy customer service.

BTW they said this is a known problem with thire chairs, why then don't they correcxt it.

Household Essentials Standard Ironing Board Pads & Covers Review

When I managed to ruin our first ironing board cover, I ordered this one, thinking it would be a fine investment at a comfortable price point.I wanted something sturdy enough to use, but not terribly expensive, since we don't iron all that often.

The cover itself has the grey top piece with the bungee cord elastic around the sides to hold it on.There is a loose layer of foam underneath.There are no cross straps to hold it on the board and the foam is not attached to the top piece.I would love to tell you how it performed, but unfortunately, I was unable to get it to fit properly onto the board.The sides would keep popping up and the foam sliding around until I realized the foam in the nose was torn.

At this point I gave up on the cover as a lost cause and proceeded to buy a more expensive one with cross straps to hold it on and with the foam sewn into the actual peice.It cost about twice as much, did eliminate the aggravation and fit the board fine.

This may be a perfectly servicable cover, but I found it next to impossible to install on my board and am much happier with the new cover I have now.

Lakeland Mills CF1139 Cedar Log Glider Review

I will say first-I love my two Lakeland gliders.I bought them both Summer of 2001.my father and I put them together but it took an afternoon to do it...not a mere hour.The directions were a bit ambiguous and the deep cracks in the wood...although natural and supposed to be there, I at first thought was a flaw.The holes were small and it was a "bit" difficult to get together, but once they are together, you know they will stay together.We used additional screws just to make sure.They glide wonderfully and we spent all Summer and Fall on our patio, enjoying the fire and gliding the hours away.The best surprise, they are supposed to age to grey but they still look practically brand new and Kansas winters are quite punishing.We have left them exposed to the elements and they still look beautiful.When I first opened that box and saw the split wood and the less than adequate instructions...and then had some difficulty in putting it together...well,I am just glad that I waited to write this review.They are true gems in my backyard and wouldn't give them away for anything....

Painted Adirondack Chair Review

I ordered two of these chairs in white.The chairs are going to need some work before they are ready to be used.The workmanship is just OK.They need to be re-painted and weather-proofed before they are ready for my porch, but the price is unbeatable.My only major complaint is that the wood is fairly thin, so I am unsure if it would hold up for heavier people.

The fixture arrived carefully boxed and intact.It is just as lovely in person as it looks in the picture.The package did not contain a flat bracket that was needed to mount the fixture to the ceiling electrical box.It was not missing, the piece was never included but you need one.We used the one from the old fixture.We also had to get some wire "nuts" those plastic things you use to hold the wires together.

Other than that the fixture is great.It took a while to assemble it because of all the little pieces, but it was worth it.The fixture came with about 12-15 feet of chain - major overkill for a foyer installation.

It brings a very classy look to my foyer.Would buy from this manufacturer again.

Have been using it for last 4-5 months. Joined school which means lot of reading and laptop work, so I purchased albeit the price tag was high. So, far I found it decent. Bluish light, two brightness setting, reasonably stable on the table. This light is good for reading and laptop. But if you want light spread across a larger table, this is not the right one.

Update after 2 years of use: the plastic cover for the lamp got loose and keeps falling - a nuisance. Otherwise, no complaints.
