One would expect from the listing that this item is designed to fit nicely over the box-shaped tissue dispensers. But it is waaaaay too big. Although nicely constructed, it is 1.5" too wide (in both dimensions) and nearly 2" too tall. This means the tissue box flops around inside this cover, and the top of the tissue box is 2" away from the bottom of the dispenser hole in the top of the dispenser.

The dimensions of the item listed in the Amazon listing are incorrect. They were so far off, I figured they must be referring to the packaging. But the fact is this item is about 6" x 6" x 7" tall - not 6x6x9 as listed. Still, at 6x6x7, it is way too big for a standard tissue dispenser.

But is is pretty.

ATC - zOT70 Picnic Table Set - Clear Western Red Cedar - Detached Benches Review

Quality wise this table is a 5 out of 5 stars. The table is quite beautiful after assembly. There was some glitches with the instructions however. On the actual table itself, they tell you to use 2 1/2 inch screws for the top pieces which goes right through the top and onto the eating surface. Had to readjust and use the 2 inch screws provided. This caused us to be short on the 2 inch screws. Also on the leg they said to use 2 1/2 inch screws which went right through as-well. They do warn you that the underside is unfinished but some of the pieces were banged up possibly from transit from Canada . Overall happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone who would like seating for 6.

I love this chair.Why two stars??Well, despite the manufacturers name "outback" and the promotional literature showing the chair hanging from trees, this chair is not intended to be left outdoors.The arm rails are laminated wood with a thin, cheap interior grade polyurethane coating.My chair was rained on and the arms immediately turned black and delaminated.This chair is so comfortable I sent it back for a replacement which I coated all the wood parts with a high grade marine varnish.Problem solved....or was it?The foam in the seating pads is not hydrophobic, which is to say they absorb moisture and hold it like a sponge.It will stay soggy for weeks.They should have used the closed cell type foam found in life vests instead.I love this chair (it puts me right to sleep!) except it is really useless for the outdoors and I really don't think it is appropriate to hang in a living room.If you have a porch with a deep, deep overhang this chair is for you.By the way, Outback makes a huge metal stand for this chair if you don't want to suspend it from the ceiling.This stand is very unstable, easy to tip and will knock you out if hit in the head.I sent it back too.

WOW what a great brush, I can't believe how solid and well made it is for the price. The bristles are long and fairly stiff, but flex just enough to clean properly. It has a nice rubberized non-slip grip on the handle.Lot's of uses for this brush such as cleaning trash cans, vehicle tires and rims, ceramic pool tiles, my brine tank for the house water conditioner. These are just some of the reasons I bought this brush. I'm sure Ill find more that could use that little extra reach. Love this brush.

The bench itself is great. Looks really nice, especially after using a little teak oil like they suggest.Problem was with the actual delivery.The box came really destroyed and with no hardware for putting together.Called the 800 number of the company and they said they would ship out a package, which they did, but it took over a week.The huge box had to sit in my hallway for all that time.Also, when I told them about the UPS delivery and the destroyed box, they asked how I ordered it.When I told them Amazon, they said Amazon must be getting their leftovers, because they weren't the ones who shipped it.After all that, the bench looks really, really nice for the $200.

Kidkraft Step 'N Store - White Review

We tried the cheap plastic bathroom stools like Spongebob, bjorn, etc.They are too light, too narrow, and too short.

The KidKraft is heavy so it doesn't get knocked out of place.It is quite sturdy.It is much higher than the cheap plastic stools so a toddler can actually comfortably reach the toilet AND the sink taps.

There are two problems with the Step N Store, but we could work around those problems whereas we could not work around the problems with the cheap plastic stools. The KidKraft's painted surfaces can be slippery especially if the child wears socks in the house.We put a non-slip film or rubber on ours.We put the non-slip rubber on the feet too because the stool can also slip on smooth floors.Also the KidKraft manufacturing is quite poor and we had to improvise with one screw hole that was not drilled properly. But the stool has done the perfect job for us ever since.

Cover Storage Bag Review

The storage bag is the largest that I found on the internet. I can fit all of the pads from 4 chairs, a sofa, and the additional "throw pillows." The fabric, zipper and construction are all quality. My only minor complaint is that the bag is not waterproof since it has two air vents.I guess that the vents are necessary to allow moisture to escape, but you must position it properly to avoid rain from entering the bag.At the Amazon price of around $40, this is a great value.

While much of the cabinet is some sort of wood, a significant and visible panel is particle board. The particle board is the 52-inch by 16-inch bottom panel of the cabinet. The front edge of this panel is visible along the full front length of the cabinet, as the doors fit within the frame rather than over it. The laminate on this particle board piece arrived with chipped and cracked edges.

While most of the rest of the console is wood, ours arrived with some pieces that were cracked -- not split open, but with cracked seams.

I called the company, which said that it is not responsible the description that appears on Amazon's Web site.

Just an FYI for other customers who, like us, were searching specifically for something that does not contain particle board.

Protective Covers 1176 Cantilever Umbrella Cover, 10 feet Review

I bought this because it was described as a Cantilever Umbrella Cover, figuring it would work for my "offset umbrella".There are several things that make this mostly unsuitable for our use.First, the color is a gray-green, which isn't very attractive, and doesn't go with any of the other deck furnishings or covers.Secondly, the top is too narrow.When closed, the top of the umbrella and pole need more room than this cover allows.It's very snug, and I had to lift it up a bit to get it to fit.Thirdly, the "lift rod" is a couple of pieces if 3/4 inch PVC tubing with a union.It does not attach to the umbrella, so there is no where to store it.You have to put it somewhere, which means it's not easily available when you want to take the cover off or put it on.And to use it, you just push it on the underside of the cover top.It's not very handy for putting the cover on, because the snug top means the cover does not settle on the umbrella, so you still need a chair to adjust the cover.And then you have to zip it, which you can't reach from the ground, so you still need the chair.

I do like the quality of the fabric, the length, which is not too long (that destroyed another cover we bought because it constantly rubbed on the bottom of the stand), and the elastic band around the bottom to deter flying critters from making a home in the umbrella, but those don't outweigh the negatives.I think this is going back.

We buy a lot from Amazon, but I haven't found a good offset umbrella cover yet (zero for three).

I bought this lounge pad several months ago, and waited to see how it held up in the Phoenix spring, with use by two people and 3 dogs, before reviewing it.So far, it has done well, is easy to clean, and is zippered in case the cover needs heavy duty cleaning.Fits perfectly on my lounge.My only quibble would be that, like most outdoor pads these days, it isn't thick enough, and for that reason I've given it 4 instead of 5 stars.I have an old chair pad from 30 years ago that is twice the thickness and much more comfortable.But thinner padding seems to be the norm these days. Overall, at the sale price, a good buy.

Lafuma RSX Padded Recliner Review

I read about a lot about recliners and visited a couple of store looking for just the right ones for my wife and I. The others just seemed weaker in construction and materials. I wanted recliners that would last more than a season and hold up against tears and dry rot. We found it with Lafuma products. My wife got the standard size and I got the XL. At 75inches and 240 pounds I want a recliner that would handle my size. I found it. We first used our recliners on the deck where I had to shoo the grandkids out to relax in my new chair. We take them camping with us and they have held up very well. No problems at all. Now they do weight more and are bulky and stiff to fold and set up but I see this as quality and a long lasting value rather than a negative. My black one does show dust but we you take them camping in dusty places...it happens. You get what you pay for is sure true with out two Lafuma padded recliners, you can't go wrong here.

WeatherReady Fire Pit Cover Review

I just received this, so don't have any personal experience with its durability.I'll add more after we've had it for a while.

The cover appears nice and well-made.I was looking for a black cover, as I can't imagine trying to keep a tan cover looking clean when I'm putting it over a sooty fire pit.

I wanted one that was waterproof, but also that would hold up in the sun.PVC is good for being waterproof -- but PVC is notorious for breaking down in sunlight.On this one, polyester canvas is backed by PVC.With luck, the polyester will extend the life of the PVC and this cover will last more than one season (or half a season as was the case with the "deluxe cover" that came with our fire pit).

There is medium-heavy elastic on the bottom edge.It is stitched on, not encased in fabric.On each side of the cover, about 3 inches from the bottom, are loops of wide Velcro (I'm guessing 1-1/2 inches wide, but didn't measure it) that can go around two of the legs on the fire pit.Where we live, these will be really important to keep it from blowing away in strong winds or thunderstorms (we get some 50 mph gusts on occasion).From past experience, the elastic or drawstring around the bottom just isn't enough by itself -- and it's no fun to be out chasing down a blowing cover in a storm!

I'll add some durability info after we've had the cover for a while.

Household Essentials MD-61 Five-Line Indoor/Outdoor Mini Retractable Clothes Dryer Review

I should have known that the 5-line retractable clothesline as purchased through [...] would be cheaply made as it was cheaply priced, but was negatively impressed with everything about it. For example, the mounting bracket for the housing assembly is flimsy and bent out and pulled away from the wall the moment the clothesline was loaded. The screws were even soft and cheap. The locking mechanism bent while stretching the lines to the tension required to support anything over five pounds (+/-) without sagging substantially. During the initial dry run, the lines would not retract fully. Prognosticating structural failure, before using, I ran strapping around the housing and line end bar, anchoring them to the wall in an attempt to keep them from either pulling the housing away or snapping off the line end bar, thus making the unit non-retractable. The distance stretched is 10'-4" and the lines sag considerably with only one pair of damp jeans hanging from near the end of one line! I'm not sure how long this clothesline will last, but anticipate not very. Cheap, cheap, cheap! Menard's has a wider and longer 5-line unit for $45 that appears to be ten times better than this 'Butts' cheap plastic crap. Before opening, I was tipped off as the picture on the box is so 70's. It's so cheap, I feel I've wasted too much time trying to spare any prospective consumer's thirteen bucks.

Addendum, March 8, 2007: Since I have strapped the unit in place, I must say that I was wrong in my prediction that the 'Butts' clothesline wouldn't last. It has been getting used probably twice a week, and still as good as installed. So, if you know you will have to reinforce the unit's installation and that you won't be able to retract the lines, go ahead and buy one.

WeatherReady Log Rack Cover Review
