I bought this as a decoration for an African themed den, which is indoors.I also like to support native heritages, which this was advertised as doing ("Made in West Africa by a company dedicated to preserve its rich heritage.")And for my purpose it's perfect. It looks handmade and has a nice presense hanging from a hook in the corner of the room. This could easily go in any natural decor, not just native or African. It is almost 2 feet long and feels sturdy. However, I think as a wind chime it is lacking compared to others.Holding it, the sound was very mild as it jingled.Certainly metal pipes with a clapper disk make more sound. So, it depends on what a person wants from it.People looking for a wind chime with a small sound that looks good would likely be pleased.Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.
