We've had this stand for 3 years & have always enjoyed our hammock, but yesterday we went to use it & the wood snapped in half right at the metal connector right as my husband sat down in it. As if it wasn't bad enough that our awesome hammock broke, the beam smacked him in the shoulder when it snapped. It was all very sudden & unexpected. For such an expensive hammock - especially one that claims it is "long lasting" - we were quite disappointed.
